About the Device

This device is a motorized analog FM sweep receiver designed for paranormal investigation and experimental radio-sweep sessions.

Unlike software-based scanning systems, the device uses a physical analog FM tuner. A motorized servo moves the tuner through the FM frequency range, producing a continuous mechanical sweep through the available frequencies.

There are no digital displays, LEDs, or additional electronic indicators. Operation is intentionally simple so the investigator can concentrate on the session rather than the equipment.

Controls

1. Main Battery Power — ON/OFF

The main ON/OFF switch is located on the battery box.

This switch controls the primary power supplied to the device.

ON: Supplies power to the device.

OFF: Disconnects the main battery power.

When the device is not being used, the battery-box power switch should be left in the OFF position.

2. Power ON Switch

Once the main battery power is switched ON, use the device's power switch to activate the operating system.

Turn the switch ON to begin operation.

3. Sweep Speed Adjustment

The sweep-speed control is located on the bottom of the device.

This control adjusts the speed at which the motorized servo moves the analog FM tuner.

  • Turn toward the slower setting: Slows the frequency sweep.

  • Turn toward the faster setting: Increases the frequency sweep speed.

Adjust the control gradually until the desired sweep rate is achieved.

Starting a Session

  • Make sure the device is switched OFF.

  • Verify that the battery compartment contains properly installed batteries.

  • Turn the main battery-box switch ON.

  • Turn the device's power switch ON.

  • Allow the tuner and motorized sweep mechanism to begin operating.

  • Adjust the sweep speed using the control located on the bottom of the device.

  • Set the sweep rate according to your investigation conditions.

Adjusting the Sweep

The sweep speed can be changed during operation.

For a slower, more deliberate sweep, adjust the speed toward the slow setting.

For a faster sweep, adjust the control toward the fast setting.

Make adjustments gradually. There is no need to force or rapidly rotate the control.

IMPORTANT — Do Not Force the Speed Control

The speed adjustment has a defined mechanical operating range.

DO NOT TURN THE CONTROL BEYOND ITS STOPPING POINT.

The control should move smoothly within its designed range. If the control reaches its stop, do not apply additional force.

Forcing the control beyond its mechanical limit can damage the adjustment mechanism and may require repair.

Damage resulting from forcing the control beyond its designed operating range may not be covered under warranty.

Ending a Session

When the investigation is complete:

  • Turn the device's power switch OFF.

  • Turn the main battery-box switch OFF.

  • Store the device in a dry, protected location.

For extended periods without use, leaving the main battery switch OFF helps prevent unnecessary battery drain.

Important Operating Notes

This device uses a physical analog FM tuner and motorized mechanical sweep. The sounds produced during operation can include broadcast material, radio interference, static, noise, and other naturally occurring radio signals.

The device is an investigation instrument and does not independently determine the source or meaning of sounds heard during a session.

Always operate the equipment responsibly and inspect the device before use if it has been transported or subjected to impact.

Quick Start

1. Battery switch — ON

2. Power switch — ON

3. Adjust bottom speed control

4. Conduct your session

5. Power switch — OFF

6. Battery switch — OFF
